Julie A. Alter, D.M.D.
Dr. Julie Alter graduated from Nova Southeastern University in 2004. Prior to studying in Florida, Dr. Alter lived in her native country Venezuela, where she earned her first dental degree at Universidad Central de Venezuela in the year 2000.
After Obtaining her doctoral degree, she furthered her skills with a residency at Nova Southeastern University in Advanced Education in General Dentistry in June 2005. Upon completion of this program, she joined the practice of Dr. Alan Burch, one of Aventura's most reputable dentists.
Since she began practicing dentistry, Dr. Alter has been keeping up to date with current advancements in dentistry by participating in continuing educational classes, ensuring that her patients receive the most comprehensive current and advanced dental care available. Dr. Alter has advanced experience in every aspect of Dentistry including Restorative, Endodontics, Periodontics, Pediatric, Oral Surgery, Prosthodontics and Implant dentistry. In addition, she stays current with the most cutting-edge advancements in the field.
Dr. Alter has received an intense and rich clinical experience in a fully bilingual setting, with a multicultural background over the last 20 years.

Dr. Alter is married and has 3 children. She enjoys spending time with her family.

Alan I. Burch, D.D.S.
Dr. Alan Burch is a restorative dentist who moved to South Florida in 1968 from Northern Virginia. He received his B.A. degree from the University of Virginia in 1961, and served in the U.S. Army upon graduation. After completion of his military service he entered dental school at the Medical College of Virginia in 1963 and graduated in 1967. Following graduation, he completed further training as a dental resident at McGuire VA Hospital in Richmond, Virginia and also served as a part time faculty member at the same time, again at The Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry.
Dr. Burch established his first office in 1971 in North Miami Beach, and ultimately moved to Aventura in 1989, where he has been practicing since.
Dr. Burch has received extensive training in crown and bridge and aesthetic dentistry as well as implant reconstructions. He is a Fellow of The American College of Dentists, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics. He is a past President of the North Dade Dental Society, a member of the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Society, The South Florida District Dental Society and the North Dade Dental Society among others. He has been an Attending at Mount Sinai Medical Center where he instructed dental residents in crown and bridge procedures and presently serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Nova Southeastern University School of Dentistry Dental Residency program where he has instructed for many years.
Dr. Burch presently maintains his private practice in Aventura, Florida, and is considered a leading dentist in his field of expertise.
The philosophy of his practice is “to render the best care possible to my patients, with integrity and compassion in a warm and friendly environment. To maintain my patients dental health for life.”
Dr. Burch has three daughters, five grandchildren, and his wife Nancy.
